Powered by wind
Clouds progress swiftly,
Changing direction,
Changes quickly
Cumulous cloud clumping
Slowly,
Faster,
Raindrops falling
Darkened clouds
Thunder roaring
Dust and debris off the earth
Gusty wind soaring
Lightning flash
Water splish-splash!
Fire wood turned to ash
Allah-hu-Akbar!
Lighting splits clouds asunder
Raging thunder,
In awe we wonder
Listen to the sound of nature
In your mind picture
This moment capture
Imagine the plant bud rupture
But some days and weeks
And it comes back to life
Then flowers shoot,
All kinds of fruit,
Before it was just a dead root!
Al-Muhyi – ‘the Giver of Life’
You eat and He keeps you alive
Since the day you arrived
And continue to thrive
Without this process how will you survive?
Praise be to Allah, the Giver of Life…
Note:
Read the following verses which I was inspired by to write my poem
“Allah is He who sends the winds, so that they raise clouds, and spread them along the sky as He wills, and then break them into fragments, until you see rain drops come forth from their midst! Then when He has made them fall on whom of His slaves as He wills, lo, they rejoice! (Quran, 30:48)
“And verily before that (rain) – just before it was sent down upon them- they were in despair!” (Quran, 30:49)
“Look then at the effects of Allah’s Mercy: how He revives the earth after its death. Verily, the selfsame God (Allah) is indeed the One that can bring the dead back to life, and He is Able to do all things.” (Quran, 30:50)
